Non- ferrous
Non-ferrous doesn’t contain iron. They are way more costly when compared to ferrous metals. The main reason for this is because they are lightweight, and they are also resistant to corrosion. The fact that they are not magnetic means that they are desirable for those who work in the manufacturing industry. Non-ferrous metal can include aluminium, zinc and even copper.
Ferrous
Any metal that is ferrous will contain iron. This makes them ideal for construction work or even for engineering purposes. The metal is both strong and durable, but it is prone to rusting. The only metal that doesn’t rust is stainless steel. Some of the many examples of ferrous metals include cast iron, carbon steel, wrought iron and even stainless steel.
